Lizard actors past, present, and forever!

Kimberly Aguilar - Kimberly is a native Californian and received her B.A. in Theatre from Cal State Long Beach. She studied for 2 1/2 years at Playhouse West and has great admiration for the program and its instructors. She is grateful to Lizard Theater for giving her the opportunity to continue doing what she loves. She has performed in numerous productions, including Oh, Rats!; Iceberg Ahead!; and Edgar Allen Poe’s Tales of Terror. Finally, she thanks God for the loving support of her husband, Jacob, and their boys, Orion and Gideon.

Gabrielle Boyd - a.k.a Gabby or “the Gabby” is a 16-year-old junior with big, curly hair. She has always been very active in her school’s theatre program and is always very excited to step out on stage. She joined Mosaic Lizard Theater in 2011, participating in one of the improvisational workshops offered and has now been in productions Salome and Shop Around the Corner. Gabby is a devoted fan of Janet Jackson and loves to dance. She one day hopes to pursue a career in broadway, film, and public speaking.

Jordan Don - Jordan is a college student currently attending East Los Angeles College. She is a newcomer to Lizard and has loved every moment of it, acting in the improvisation workshops and productions Dracula and Shop Around the Corner; and doing lights and sound for productions Fundraiser Fun-raising! and Hemingway: American Original.

 

Matt Dorio - Matt is very excited to be a part of the Lizard Theater. Working with such dedicated and talented people has been a wonderful experience. He has appeared in several Lizard productions, including Road to RMI, Iceberg Ahead!, Bar Talk, and Hemingway: American Original. He would like to give a shout out to his family and friends, especially Corin.

Erikson Erise - Erikson has been a part of Lizard productions Salome, Dracula, and Shop Around the Corner. He enjoys all performing arts and aspires to star in horror B-movies in the SyFy channel. During his free time, he lazes on the couch watching re-runs of Fresh Prince.

 

 

Jose Garcia - Jose is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the Drama Studio London at Berkeley. He has has a long list of professional stage, film, and television credits. Most recently he was seen in Cornerstone Theatre’s Los Illegals and For All Time. His new feature film Ruby Booby is currently making the independent film festival circuit with hopes of an eventual theatrical release. In 2010, Jose was also the recipient of Cornerstone Theatre Company’s Bridge Award for his contributions to the arts and social justice. He has performed in Lizard production Iceberg Ahead!, Salome, and Dracula. 

Zack Guzman - Zack first took to the stage as the chain clad Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol and has had a hankering for performing ever since. At Don Bosco Technical Institute he appeared in the Cantebury Tales and You Could Die Laughing. After his Lizard debut in March 2011, he has been a dedicated Lizard working on-stage, backstage, and behind this website. He has been in the Lizard productions Edgar Allen Poe’s Tales of TerrorIceberg Ahead!, Salome, Dracula, Shop Around the Corner, and Hemingway: American Original. He hopes you will support him in the off season at Lizard Theater as he attempts to learn the intricate ways of improv.

Nicole Honore - Nicole Honore moved to Los Angeles from Louisiana after graduating with a BFA in Performing Arts. She has had roles in independent films like True Riches and can be seen in a web-series called Canvassing where she plays Tessa. Her first role with the Lizard Theater was in the play Time Out For Ginger. It was the most fun she’d had in a play and the actors were so wonderful that she couldn’t resist returning to do other shows. She is writing and acting as much as possible and considers those Plans A, B, and C. She loves and has so much respect for this art and is happy to just be a part of it all, but she could not do it without the most amazingly supportive family.

Victoria June - Victoria has participated in Westridge School’s drama department where she has performed in main stage and black box plays, including: The Hobbit, The Diary of Anne Frank, The Laramie Project, The House of Blue Leaves, and Blood Wedding. She has also participated in NYU TISCH’s summer abroad acting program. Over the past year, Victoria has dedicated herself to studying piano more seriously, and has decided to major in piano in college. She was in Lizard production Iceberg Ahead!

Esther Krimmel – Esther, native to California, is an artistic performer with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and often volunteers her time with animals. In performing, she explores truths in acting and dancing/choreography. You can find her in film/television, as well as on stage. She is so happy to be a part of Lizard and is so thankful for her loving and supportive family.

Greg Langner – Greg currently studies acting at California State University, Los Angeles. He debuted as Joseph Garcia in No Exit while earning his AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences. He will probably one day be President of the United States, but for now is happy to be working toward his MFA. He has been in Lizard productions Dracula, Shop Around the Corner, and Hemingway: American Original.    Learn more about Greg

 

Karolin Luna - Born in Santo Domingo and raised in Miami, she left sunny Florida to chase a destined affair with the silver screen, and was excited to move from the camera to the stage. She has performed in Lizard productions Like Something Out of the Twilight Zone; Murder, Mystery, Intrigue!; Bar Talk; Road to RMI; and The Last of the Red Hot Lovers.

 

Ana Lopes - Ana Lopes is from Portugal where she studied at the law school in Lisbon University. While there, she did Theatre with the university’s theatre company. She also became a member of two other theatre companies and acted in student films, professional short-films, and feature films. After that, she came to Los Angeles, where she took the Acting for Film program at the New York Film Academy (Universal Studios). She performed in the Lizard production Don Juan Tenario.

Catrina Marchant – Catrina was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Seeing as her idol is fellow Canadian Jim Carrey, she has always wanted to try acting. So when her brother told her about Mosaic Lizard Theater, she felt right at home. Once a student of the improvisation workshop, you can now see Catrina in this December’s Shop Around the Corner.

Matt Nelson - Matt was born to a poor family in Appalachia and took to acting like a lion to a gazelle. You may recognize him from His Apartment in which his performance as Man Eating Tuna Sandwich will not soon be forgotten. Matt has performed in numerous Lizard productions including Like Something Out of the Twilight Zone, Balaugharama, Time Out for Ginger, and Iceberg Ahead!. At the ripe age of 36, Matt hopes to appear in many more before his gastrointestinal situation escalates.

Sophia Nguyen – Sophia recently graduated from Mark Keppel High Schooll, and is now going to community college in the hopes to discover her calling. Her credits include Into the Woods, Guys and Dolls, Lizard’s Fundraiser Fun-raiser Broadway Review, and Hemingway: American Original. Sophia is very grateful for the chance to indulge in the performing arts once again.

Nora J. Novak – Nora was born in Bangkok and grew up in Oregon.  Since moving to L.A. in 2004, she has starred in television shows such as Asia Street Comedy and E! On-Demand.  Her film roles include leads in A Foundling (winner of 2011 Inanna Award), 666: The Child, and Back Soon (Grand Prize winner of 2007 Alternative Spirit Award).  She’s currently filming several web series, continues to perform live theater, and occasionally lends her voice to audio books and video games.

 

Cameron Parker - Cameron is a first-year student at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria. He started performing at Lizard Theater when he was about 12 years old. Since then, he was involved with Theatre and Acting in and out of high school. His stage credits include The Kidnapping of Nigel Winterbottom, Don Juan Tenorio, Bar Talk, Story Theater, Murder in the Rue Morgue, Chic Golden’s Big Comeback, Vision, Short Tall Tales, Scripts? We don’t need no stinkin’ scripts!, and Crimes of the Heart. Film credit includes, The Control of Butch Millock.

Bryana Pickford – Bryana was born and raised in the ultra-glamorous little city of Alhambra and loves nothing more than to call the Mosaic Lizard Theater her home. Since 2006, she’s been involved with countless productions, on and off stage. In 2009, after graduating from the University of San Diego’s famed Theatre Arts program, she put that degree to good use and helped bring to life the theater’s current location. She’s so proud to be among such a talented group of actors and is so lucky to get to be a part of this big ol’ family of Lizards.

Calista Ruiz - Calista Ruiz has been a performer since the age of 7.  She was the founder of her high school’s International Thespian Society charter and on several occasions was her school’s representative for California Youth in Theatre Day. Since then, she has trained with the Los Angeles Music and Art School, World Centre for Dance and Pasadena City College. She has been dancing since she was 3. Her specialties include ballet folklorico, salsa, and flamenco. She has been a featured choreographer for Pasadena City College, Milestone Theatre Company, and Mosaic Lizard Theatre. Her theatre successes include Pasadena City College’s In the Next Room, City of Angels, The Apple Tree; Mosaic Lizard Theatre Company’s Time Out for Ginger and Salome; and Downey Civic Light Opera’s Singing in the Rain. Calista continues to study theatre and teaches dance at local elementary schools.

Kenny Shelton – Kenny is eleven years old, a student at Brightwood Elementary School, and an accomplished musician. He began his acting career by joining Lizard’s youth improvisation workshops, where he demonstrated strong comedic ability. Hemingway: American Original was Kenny’s debut performance, where he tackled his first dramatic role.

Anthony Suarez Jr. - Anthony Suarez Jr. is a senior at Mark Keppel High School, where he has been involved with the school’s theatre company since his sophomore year. He joined Mosaic Lizard Theater in 2011, participating in one of the improvisational workshops offered and has been involved with productions Salome, Dracula, and Shop Around the Corner both offstage and onstage. Anthony is also undeniably a master of all artistic trades, including animation.

Carlos Vera – Carlos is a graduate of Mark Keppel High School, where he found a passion for musical theater, playing Jack in Sondheim’s Into the Woods and Sky Masterson in Loesser’s Guys and Dolls. He joined MLT by performing in one of the early improvisation shows and taking the improvisation workshops offered. Since then, he was one of our top singers in Lizard’s Fundraiser Fun-raiser! Broadway Review and played a hooligan killer in Hemingway: American Original. Carlos would like to thank the support he has received from his friends and family.

Davis Villa – Davis Villa is studying Television and Film at CAL State LA, where he is getting his BA, and manages a professional recording studio on Beverly in East Los Angeles. He joined Mosaic Lizard Theater in 2010, and since then, has been in Lizard productions Shop Around the Corner, Edgar Allen Poe’s Tales of Terror, and Hemingway: American Original. Davis has also been an asset to Lizard backstage in the areas of sound and light.

Maia Villa - Maia is a freshman at Bennington College in Vermont, where she is exploring new studies and missing the tacos in Los Angeles. Even from thousands of miles away, Mosaic Lizard Theater remains her home where she first discovered her love for Theatre in 2007.  She has been in numerous Lizard productions — from playing a 1950′s football-playing girl with gusto to a loopy, large-bottom maid with a thick and perhaps indecipherable accent — and has become an assistant to Lizard management.

Itzul Virgen - Itzul has been surrounded by the arts her entire life, and has been a part of Lizard productions Edgar Allen Poe’s Tales of Terror, Salome, and Shop Around the Corner. She currently studies at Central Los Angeles High School #9: School of Visual and Performing Arts.

Lindsey Warm - Lindsey is a midwest girl from Cincinnati, OH. In high school she broke both her feet, causing her mother to say, “You can’t just sit around and do nothing. Audition for the play.” and so her career began. All Lindsey wants is to make people laugh, sing at the top of her lungs, dance like no one’s watching, adventure in to the unknown, and try something new every day! Ohio is her home, LA is her stage. Extra crispy French Fries will win Lindsey’s heart over. She has performed in LIzard productions Mint Julep Trilogy and Iceberg Ahead!

Yolanda Webb - Yolanda’s interests and involvement have been varied. She was part of the pit and technical crew for a number of musical theatre productions. In television, she worked both behind the scenes and on-camera as a principle for an industrial that aired in the NY tri-state area. She also produced and directed a weekly music radio show which aired in the LA area Friday mornings. She has been in Lizard productions Murder,  Mystery, Intrigue!; Death Trap; and the Last of the Red Hot Lovers.

Justin Winterhalter - Justin is from Seattle and has worked with a few small groups writing and performing comedy sketches for special events.  He completed a Master’s degree at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. He has appeared in Lizard productions Love, Sex, and the IRS; Don Juan Tenorio; Murder, Mystery, Intrigue!; The Unvarnished Truth; Bar Talk; and Edgar Allen Poe’s Tales of Terror. As a writer, his adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe’s Murders in the Rue Morgue hit the Lizard stage in 2007 and again in 2011.

Jonathan Zadok - Jonathan is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where he studied under fine teachers such as Don McLoud (The Samsonite Gorilla). He loves to play T.V. Theme songs on his guitar and Red Dwarf.  He’s appeared in many productions on the Lizard Stage, including Off The Cuff; The Odd Couple; Love Sex and the IRS; Daddy’s Farm; Murder, Mystery, Intrigue!; and The Twilight Zone.
